Bobby Priestley is the Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of PrimeBank of Texas, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep passion for community banking. With an educational background in finance and managerial economics from Long Beach State University, Bobby’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early when he founded an online mortgage company while still in college. After graduation, his career trajectory was further shaped by a decade at First Lockhart National Bank, where he learned the intricacies of banking under the mentorship of its CEO, Roland Velvin.

Bobby’s leadership is defined by his ability to build and grow financial institutions. Co-founding PrimeBank in 2021 marks the third financial institution he has successfully launched in the Austin market in the past 17 years, a testament to his expertise and vision. His work has helped thousands of business owners and entrepreneurs secure funding, grow their businesses, and build wealth. Bobby, alongside his co-founder, led the charge in raising capital and starting PrimeBank during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when many thought such an endeavor was impossible. His ability to listen, provide valuable guidance, and foster lasting relationships has earned him a loyal following in the banking industry.

Community engagement is a core part of Bobby’s leadership philosophy. He is particularly proud of initiatives like the PrimeBank Chap Card, which supports Westlake High School athletics and provides financial literacy education for students, and Westlake High School tailgates, where he enjoys connecting with local families and students. He is also deeply involved in South Texas community appreciation events, ensuring resources reach those in need, and finds nothing more rewarding than giving back and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Beyond banking, Bobby is passionate about sports and the values they instill—attitude, effort, perseverance, and a competitive spirit—all of which align with his belief that everyone has an entrepreneurial drive, whether they’ve tapped into it or not. He also finds peace in ranching, appreciating the beauty of the land, the animals, and the Texas sunsets. Most importantly, Bobby cherishes time with his wife Jennifer, and two sons Logan and Luke, traveling together, sharing conversations around the dinner table, and supporting each other through life’s highs and lows.

Bobby’s guiding principle, instilled by a childhood baseball coach, is simple: “You only fail when you give up.” It’s this mindset that has shaped his career, his leadership at PrimeBank, and his unwavering commitment to the success of his customers, team, and community.
